物質の実存の固定と拡張
現在の彫刻のシリーズを制作する以前。
素材を主体とした彫刻作品は展示における空間の影響が大きく。
限られた空間でいかに展示を成立させるか模索していた。
そこで、彫刻を平面に落とし込み平面作品として見せる方法を考えた。
彫刻された木材を樹脂の層で固めて平滑にし、平面の中に彫刻を閉じ込めた。
そうして現在の制作方法に行き着いた。
素材自身を主題とし、空間や質量だけに頼ることなく。
そのもの自体が絵画的に意識を拡げる、ひとつの彫刻として成立させたい。
Fixation and Extension of Existence of Matter
Before creating the current series of sculptures.
Sculptures, which are mainly made of materials, are greatly affected by the space in which they are exhibited.
I was searching for a way to make the exhibition work in a limited space.
Therefore, I thought of a way to present the sculptures as two-dimensional works by putting them on a flat surface.
The sculpted wood was hardened and smoothed with a layer of resin to confine the sculpture within a flat surface.
This is how he arrived at his current production method.
The material itself is the subject of the work, without relying solely on space or mass.
I want to establish it as a sculpture that itself expands consciousness in a pictorial way.
